Are you also missing DTM so much? Gradually, however, the situation is improving and as a result, possibilities for spectators to attend the races on site again are getting bigger and bigger, too! Last year, spectators could at least be admitted during three weekends, but this year, we are looking forward to considerably more events with an on-site crowd. Of course, health and safety remain the biggest priority in the process.
In the 2021 DTM, powerful GT3 race cars will be on track for the first time: Audi, BMW and Mercedes-AMG are there, but so are Ferrari, Lamborghini and McLaren, all present for the first time. So many brands haven’t been seen on the DTM grid since 1986! There are different car and engine concepts, too: front and mid engines, eight and ten cylinders, turbocharged or naturally aspirated engines. In the drivers’ field, there have been changes, too: Alex Albon is coming from Formula 1 and is joined by young talents like Liam Lawson, GT stars like Nick Cassidy or Kelvin van der Linde, but well-known DTM greats like Timo Glock, Mike Rockenfeller, Nico Müller and Lucas Auer are there, too. Moreover, for the first time since 2012, there are two women on the grid as well: Sophia Flörsch and Esmee Hawkey. Action is guaranteed, attending the events is definitely worth it!
